New in the U.S. market…
G&K-Vijuk Mail Systems are for high-speed, high-volume production of ready-to-mail products—self-mailers with or without tipped in card, sealed glue-spine booklets containing a tipped-in card or CD, self-mailers that are die punched into a shape, and much more.
The mail systems are customized according to your requirements. You choose from the many components (folders, feeders, attachments and accessories) available.
Examples of possible systems are shown above.
G&K has been manufacturing folding systems and related auxiliary equipment in Germany since 1951. In Europe, the company is known as GUK and its machinery is highly regarded for its reliability and ease of setup and operation.
Specifications vary according to the components of the customized mailing systems.

The size of the feeder will be determined by the size of sheets to be processed.
The type of feeder depends on the size and whether you want to pre-load or continuously load the stock.

Continuous-load SAF FEEDER has air channels in the side rails that separate and lift the sheets to allow the bottom-suction drum to draw the paper to the register table.

FL2 flat-pile feeders use suction heads in the rear-separating feed system (1) to lift sheets with the aid of air blasts, making it possible to feed long or difficult-to-handle sheets.
• The intake wheel (2) continues the sheet transfer.
• The rear-separating feed system can be lifted up and out of the way for easy pre-loading.

The continuous-load R6 ROUND-PILE FEEDER feeds sheets up to 40" in length. Belts move slightly-shingled sheets down and around a feed drum. Sheets are then transferred by the top-suction wheel (1) (shielded by a safety cover) aided by air blasts from the front and from ADJUSTABLE FLOATING BLOWERS (2) on each side of the pile. Vacuum belt units…
In general, mail systems consist of a vacuum belt unit for transferring products for different applications—such as opening and plough folding (closing) for tipping and addressing by label or ink jet.

G&K-Vijuk VBF suction belt unit offers dependable transport of products on belts—used together (1) or individually (2) according to product size.

G&K-Vijuk VBT suction belt unit has side-guided belts to transfer add-on items.
Cutting unit…

The G&K-Vijuk SM 54/74 cutting machine has quick-release knife shafts that cut, score, and perforate. Timed cutting, scoring, perforating, and gluing is an option.
Turning product unit…

The tiltable G&K-Vijuk ZTW turning unit turns a product in transport as required by an application. For example, a mail piece may have to be turned to the proper orientation for addressing by label or ink jet.
Roller table…

The tiltable G&K-Vijuk roller table provides an area for processes such as alignment, gluing, and scanning.
Die punching…

The G&K-Vijuk punching machine cuts cards, leaflets or booklets into shapes in-line—single or multiple up. It will also do interior hole or window punching. The unit can also be used independently. |

The type of folder depends on the products to be folded and the fold patterns for finishing the products. Folders generally have 4 folding plates.
A Station II folder is required for cross folding.
On the folders typically used in mailing systems (as shown below), the hydraulic lift provides effortless height adjustment of the folders to the height of other machines or units.
Many other folders are available.

G&K-Vijuk FA 36/45 HT Folder with alignment table is for in-line or right-angle folding.

G&K-Vijuk FA 53 Folder with 14-plates.

Wide-format G&K-Vijuk FA 54/74 HT Folder can be connected to other primary machines such as forms-cutters, bookletmakers, or collators, or used independently. The long alignment table enables accurate folding. The large format allows double-track duplex folding.
